I sent this as a response to a rediculous robot response to my question concerning changing the parameters of the device via blutooth, but here was no response. You can't send "AT" command via bluetooth on an Android!
Hello,
This device seems like a great device to use in my application, but it is almost imposible to work with.
For testing purposes, I have it mounted in an outdoor location to monitor incoming traffic on an access road, along with a PIR sensor. It will eventually be controlled by an Arduino Uno, but at this time I've attempted to change it's parameters via the bluetooth with little success.
- The online manual for this device does not match the devices firmware.
- The Andoid app indicates there is an update to the app and claims to download it but is nowhere to be found and does not update itself.
- The manual accessible to to Android app is nowhere close to matching the actual firmware.
- Where mounted, the device responds to wind and I need to be able to decease it's senitivity during hose time, but given the inablity to find instructions that match the devices firmware, evey guess I tried has not worked because I don't have a clue as to how to achieve that.
It appears that you have a good product but without proper instructions, it's almost impossisible to design it in to my product.
I notice that your Android app is rated at a 2. In all my years I have never seen a hardware app rated so low, so I'm not the only one who is having dificulties.
Can you direct me to accurate information as to how to control this device with the bluetooth app?
Regards, Howard
